Congratulations to my Mum and Dad.
50 years of marriage is quite an achievement.
My parents aren't big on parties and just wanted a nice lunch out with their kids, grandkids and the two special people who were their attendants on the day.
It was really lovely that my Aunt (Mum's sister) and Uncle (Dad's brother) were there for this casual celebration too.
Their four grandchildren were also there to celebrate this special day.
As were their three children.
They also got to cut the cake in the same place as they had their wedding reception all those years ago. Of course the Caboolture RSL has been renovated a few times in the last 50 years so it looks a little different now than it did back then.
Congratulations Mum and Dad.
